We represent and advise clients on a wide variety of real estate and land use matters, including navigating the purchase of a home or commercial property, negotiating easements, advocating on behalf of clients in land use and zoning disputes, and guiding clients through the development process in both the City of Steamboat Springs and Routt County. The development process often involves numerous legal documents, such as covenants, development agreements, and easements, all of which our firm crafts based upon our significant years of experience. Business Entity Formation and Commercial Law This area of our practice includes a full spectrum of business services, including aiding our clients in choosing which entity will be best for their business or commercial venture (e.g., corporation, limited liability company, limited partnership, etc.), forming the entity, documenting the entity and updating its corporate records on an on-going basis, and negotiating and drafting contracts and other documents related to the business of the entity, including trademark applications, employment agreements, etc. Contracts
Wills & Estate Planning and Probate & Estate Administration Our Firm works closely with clients as they make decisions regarding their estate and draft the appropriate documents to accomplish our clients’ goals, be it a simple will, a revocable living trust, or another estate planning option. We also represent and assist clients in the administration or probate of an estate upon death. Civil Litigation When necessary, we represent our clients in litigation matters arising from any of our underlying areas of practice. This representation encompasses settlement negotiations, alternative dispute resolution (e.g., arbitration and mediation), trial representation, and appeals. Agricultural Law We work closely with ranchers, land trusts, and ranch subdivisions on a variety of issues. From conservation easements to preserving the family ranch through estate planning to simple fence disputes, our firm is committed to assisting and advising our agricultural clients on their many endeavors. |
